Org. Comm. and Social Media

First of all, what is Organizational Communications? Well, that's a good question. Organizational Communications can pretty much be anything you want it to be within the organization. People communicate all the time. There is communication within the organization, between organizations, and among organizations. A couple key areas that I am interested in include public relations, fundraising, and advertising. All of these areas are related, and all can be made most effective through social media.

So how does Org. Comm. use social media?
1.) Twitter. Tweet often. Tweet relevant content. Interact with your audience, and pay attention to what they want.
2.) Facebook. Make a group, make a fan page, make someway for people to know your name and interact with you.
3.) Blog. And advertise. Use your blog to sell your content and give your audience what you want, but advertise yourself as well. Include links to your Twitter/Facebook pages.
