This list comes from Affilate Networking, update April 5, 2012.
1. Facebook - all about social networking, and has become one of the most visited sites on the web.
2. Twitter - while designed to keep your Tweeps involved via smart phone, Twitter still made the top ten list of most visited websites as well, also very important in networking.
3. Linkedin - a little less social and more about the business.
4. Google Plus - Affiliated directly with Google, you know it's got to be big.
5. Pinterest - Relatively new to the social media world, Pinterest is exploding with new ways to promote your brand.
6. LiveJournal - an interactive blog, journal, or diary (whichever you prefer).
7. Badoo - mostly a European site, big in the social media world.
8. DevianArt - virtually displaying user-made artwork for the world to see, also encourages communication.
9. Myspace - When I think Myspace, I think five years ago before Facebook.. but it still made the list. Myspace has since become more about music based social media.
10. Orkut - I'll be honest, all I know about this one is it's affiliated with Google.
I agree with the majority of these. However, four out of ten I have never heard of. Of course, this is a top ten in the world list, so some of these are more popular in other countries.
