Chris Brogan: #1 social media power influencer

I Googled the list of the Forbes Top 50 Social Media Power Influencers and was surprised when I saw number 1. Not that I doubt Christ Brogan at all, my surprise resulted from the fact that I have been following him on Twitter through most of this semester. But I am merely one of his 206,732 followers.

Chris Brogan is the president of Human Business Works. He consults big Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, which include Pepsi Co., General Motors, and Microsoft. His blog is also rated in the top 5. He writes monthly for Entrepreneur Magazine and also coauthored a book, Trust Agents - as well as Social Media 101 and Google Plus for Business. He is also co-founder of Podcamp, a conference even that is actually coming up this Saturday.
But he didn't become successful over night. Chris has been in the social media world for 12 years now. He started blogging in 1998, before blogging was even considered cool. And that's not even all. View his full list of accomplishments and affiliations at http://www.chrisbrogan.com/about/.

If I could ask Chris three questions...
1. When you began using social media 12 years ago, did you know it was going to be as big as it is today? Where do you think social media will be in 5 years?
2. What tips do you have for social media beginners?
3. Out of all your accomplishments, which do you believe to really display the power of social media today?
