You know those old cork boards... the ones that are covered in pictures and notes and your most precious memories, all held up by a few push pins?
Well, Pinterest uses the same concept, except it's all online! Pinterest is a virtual pinboard. It allows you to organize all your favorite things you find online - anything from art to food to DIY to wedding planning - and yes, there's even stuff to interest the guys as well!
So how does this help you professionally? Well not only can you bring together brilliant ideas and beautiful pictures you find online, but you can also create "stacks" (basically, a separate cork board) to showcase your fantastic products. These can get repinned and passed along all over the web!
I have been on Pinterest awhile, but my main interest has been the DIY section. I just recently (like, today) started playing around on it professionally. People from all different backgrounds have signed up, so get on and look for some professionals in your field, too.
