Youtube

Professionals are constantly finding new ways on social media platforms to advertise their organizations and promote their brands, it was only a matter of time before we saw them on Youtube, too.

But Youtube? I've always seen Youtube as something my 15 year old brother wastes his time on, watching random, pointless videos that I fail to see the humor in - or visual aid for how to's. Where have I been?

Youtube is getting to be as big as Google. It's a great place for professionals.
First of all, there's advertising. Those pesky little ads at the beginning of your Youtube video - you at least give them a little bit of your attention. Second, it's a great way to send traffic online. It's interactive. "Want to see more, look at this on Youtube," gives you somewhere to go and can then drive you to the rest of their online hotspots, like blogs or Twitter.
